In the late 90s, scientists explore a mysterious cave in the Philippines, where they find a huge skeleton of an unknown creature. During the same period, an earthquake destroys a nuclear power plant near Tokyo. Among the dead is the wife of engineer Brody, who is sure that the tragedy did not happen by chance. He studies the tremors and comes to the conclusion that a creature unknown to science has awakened. After 15 years, he does not give up trying to get to the truth.
