A large-scale dramatic canvas on the biblical story of the Flood from the director of Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan Darren Aronofsky. In the center of the picture is a direct descendant of Adam and the only righteous man in his generation named Noah, on whose shoulders lies a severe test.

According to Darren Aronofsky, the animals shown in the film are slightly modified versions of real-life animals. No real animals were involved in the production.
