300: Rise of an Empire 3D 2014

The Greek commander Themistocles challenges the hordes of Persian invaders, led by the god-king Xerox and the vengeful commander of the Persian fleet Artemisia. Knowing that the only way to resist the Persian armada is to unite all of Greece, Themistocles takes command, changing the course of the war.

Originally, the picture was called “Xerxes”, like the Frank Miller comic book on which it is based, and was supposed to tell the story of King Xerxes and his military campaigns. During production, edits were repeatedly made to the script, and as a result, the central character of the tape became the leader of Athens Themistocles.
