Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs 3D movies 2009 is an animated adventure-comedy film released in 2009, directed by Carlos Saldaña and Mike Thurmeyer. It is the third installment of the Ice Age movie series, to which the movie also belongs Ice Age: Collision Course 3D 2016.

The story begins with familiar characters - Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger and others - living in their icy world. However, Sid accidentally discovers a mysterious underground world inhabited by dinosaurs. In an unexpected turn of events, Sid is kidnapped by a female Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the whole gang embarks on a dangerous journey to rescue him.

Traveling to the underworld, the heroes meet many prehistoric creatures, including a weasel named Buck, who becomes their guide. Meanwhile, Manny and Ellie prepare for the imminent arrival of their mammoth cub.
